Cloverfield Timeline

Here's a timeline of all the registration processes if you still need to get your head around all this.

Circa 2/2007 – Paramount secretly greenlights Cloverfield.

Circa 6/4/2007 - Slusho.jp changes it’s registration from “Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer” (JTW) to “Satoshi Kagashima.”

6/12/2007 – Group One is registered to conduct business in California.

7/4/2007 – Cloverfield trailer appears in theaters.

7/10/2007 – Bold Futura, LLC, is registered in California by JTW.

7/18/2007 – JTW and Group One trademark “Overnight” for “motion picture, television and music production and distribution services.”

Further Evidence

This is the remainder of my post at unfiction:

"Further sluething shows that Group One Productions was registered to do business in California by Jackoway on June 12 (link)

The Slusho trademark is registered to Bold Futura, LLC. The trademark registry shows the address in Santa Monica, but the California registry shows it as 1925 Century Park E., 22nd fl, LA - the same address as Jackoway. (link)

As I already posted, Jackoway was the original registrant for Slusho.jp (link, comment #458), but it was changed to Satoshi before the trailer was released. The guy who wrote the comment was pretty smart to run a whois 21-day search history, and they turned up (the search now shows Satoshi because its been more than 21 days ago since the change was made).

I think it's clear at this point that Abrams, Bad Robot, and Paramount are using Jackoway Tyreman Wertheimer as a cover to basically "launder" all connections to the movie."

I still have more dirt to dig out of the bottom of the rabbit-hole. Hopefully I'll have enough to make a significant post soon.

Cheers,

"Secret Message" in "Overnight?"

Translating "Overnight" into numbers (A=1, B=2, etc.) gives the following series:

O-V-E-R-N-I-G-H-T = 15-22-05-18-14-09-07-08-20

The sum of these numbers is 118, or 1-18.

Cheers,

First things...

Now that my "Overnight" research has gone from a forum post all the way to CNBC, its worth me making my own blog.

This began two days ago when I made the following post on the unfiction forums:

"Sorry if this has been posted already; a quick search didn't yield anything.

I recently stumbled upon trademark #77232885, 'Overnight.' It was registered to Group One Productions, LLC, and Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer on July 18, 2007, and described as 'motion picture, television and music production and distribution services.'

The Attorney of Record for the trademark is Lori N. Boatright. She is also the Attorney of Record for 'SLUSHO!,' 'SLUSHO! YOU CAN'T DRINK JUST SIX,' and 'BAD ROBOT,' trademarks 77229623, 77229614, and 76340985, respectively.

I googled for 'GROUP ONE PRODUCTIONS, LLC,' yielding nothing. The LLC, however, is registered in the State of Delaware, formed on 11-08-2006, with its registered agent being ERESIDENTAGENT, INC (search). It's just a resident agent service. Considering there's no real information on the company, I think it's just a hollow LLC, perhaps formed to conceal the real parties involved. They only own one trademark, 'overnight.'

I then googled for 'Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer.' Jim Jackoway is an attorney, known to represent J.J. Abrams -- and happens to be the registrant for BadRobot.com. (whois search)

What are the odds that a lawyer (Jackoway) who represents Abrams would register a trademark using the attorney of record who registered Slusho (Boatright)?
Further googling shows no previous connection between Boatright and Jackoway.

Is 'Overnight' really the title of the film?

As the trailer so eloquently stated, 'this is going to be the best night ever...'"

I emailed Peter at /film yesterday with a link to my post, to which he wrote a good article about my findings (thanks, Peter!)

This soon got to other sites, and today was featured on CNBC's "On The Money," complete with an interview with Peter.

And that brings us to the present. I am continuing dirt-digging and will have a few new things to post in a bit.
